5 reason every business should be using video on their website
1. It helps further build the relationship with your potential customers. Imagine someone walking in your store or calling you one the phone and before they even call you they feel like the know you. Business is done through relationships. Video on your website will help build relationships
2. Creating a Video is easier than spitting atoms. I'm not going to say posting a video is super easy, because for some of you it might be a challenge. But with tools like Youtube and with simple cameras like the Flip - You can do it!
3. Creating Video has never been more affordable. You probably already have the tools that you need to create video. Do you have a still camera that you bought in the last year? If so you can probably shoot video with it. Do you have a computer? Okay - stupid question. There you go... without spending any money you've got what it takes to add video to your site.
4. Adds a personal touch to an otherwise impersonal marketing tool. I am just like you. I'm out shaking hands, passing out business cards, attending events. When I met someone face to face, where is the next place they will see me or my business? On My Website or Blog! In order to continue to personalize my website and continue the relationship we started, I need to be present on my site. Video adds that personal touch to a normally cold medium
5. Website Visitors Don't expect you to be Spielberg. Perfection and stellar artistry is not required when it comes to creating online video. Yes you want to do your best because you are representing your brand. You cannot wait for the day when you can write, shoot, edit and post video like a hollywood master. If and when that day comes, quit your day job and move to hollywood. Until then quit making excuses and get busy building relationships with your customers through your less than perfect YouTube videos.
